1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of choneize.com (“the Website”) and all services provided by Choneize Web Bureau, including WordPress website development, content writing, graphic design, and remote consultations.

By using this Website, communicating with us, or engaging our services, you agree to comply with these Terms. Additional agreements may apply to specific services (including future online tools). If any conflict arises between these Terms and a service-specific agreement, the service-specific agreement shall prevail.


2. Remote Service Nature

Choneize operates 100% remotely from Kampala, Uganda, with meetings held only by arrangement. All communication, project reviews, and deliveries are conducted electronically unless otherwise agreed.


3. Binding Agreement

Your access to the Website constitutes acceptance of these Terms. You may be required to agree explicitly to certain terms when requesting a service, submitting files, or contacting us.


4. Electronic Communication

By using our Website or contacting us electronically, you consent to receive communications from us via email or through the Website. You agree that electronic communications satisfy legal requirements for written communication.


5. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website—including text, visuals, project descriptions, tool features, and branding—is the property of Choneize Web Bureau unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or commercialize any part of the Website without written consent, except where applicable law allows quoting or fair use.


6. Third-Party Links

The Website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of those sites. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk.

8. Payment Terms & Project Work

Payments for services (websites, graphics, writing, etc.) are made directly between the client and Choneize via:

  • Bank transfer (Stanbic Bank or PostBank/Pioneer)
  • Any other method agreed in writing

Payment conditions:

  • Work begins after an agreed deposit (if applicable).
  • Final deliverables are handed over upon receiving full payment.
  • Delays in payment may delay project completion.

9. Refund Policy

Because Choneize provides custom, labour-based services, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Refunds are not guaranteed for:

  • Work already completed
  • Change of mind after work has started
  • Delays caused by the client (e.g., late content, unclear instructions)

Refunds may be considered for:

  • Duplicate payments
  • Work not yet started at all

Refunds are processed using the same payment method unless agreed otherwise.


10. User Submissions & Client Files

Any content, files, or instructions you provide remain your intellectual property.
However, by submitting materials, you grant Choneize a limited license to use them solely for the purpose of completing your project.

Do not submit confidential ideas or proprietary methods unless a written Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) exists.


11. Termination of Access

We may suspend or terminate access to the Website or any service if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful behavior.


12. Warranties and Liability Disclaimer

The Website and all content are provided “as is” and may include errors or interruptions.

We do NOT guarantee that:

  • the Website will always be available
  • services will meet all expectations without client collaboration
  • submitted files will be free from issues

Choneize shall not be liable for:

  • indirect or consequential damages
  • loss of data, profits, or business
  • delays caused by third-party platforms (hosting, plugins, etc.)

Where liability cannot legally be limited, the maximum amount payable is the total fees you paid for the specific service.


13. Privacy

Use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how personal information is collected and processed.


14. Legal Compliance

You agree not to use the Website in violation of Ugandan laws or applicable international regulations.


15. Assignment

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without written approval. We may transfer our rights if part of the business is sold, merged, or restructured.


16. Breach of Terms

If you breach these Terms, Choneize may:

  • restrict your access
  • take legal action
  • report unlawful activity to the authorities

17. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages, strikes, pandemics, natural disasters, or failure of third-party platforms.


18. Changes to Terms

Choneize may revise these Terms at any time. Updates take effect once posted on this page. Continued use of the Website indicates acceptance.


19. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes shall be handled by courts in Uganda.
